Beta Fish Bowl
When choosing a beta fish bowl it is important to know what you are looking for. Bowels are usually cheaper, smaller, and more esthetically pleasing then beta fish tanks. However it is much harder to keep your beta fish healthy in a beta fish bowel then in a beta fish tank.
If you do decide on getting a beta fish bowl it is important you get a bowl which will hold at least one gallon of water. Beta fish do not need much water to survive however they are very sensitive to environmental changes. A larger beta fish bowl will help to ensure there are fewer temperature swings.
After you purchase your beta fish bowl fill it about 2 inches from the top with bottled drinking water. It is important NOT to use distilled or de-ionized water. Do not place the beta fish in the water until you let it stand for about an hour. Finally cover the bet fish bowl to keep your beta fish from jumping out.
It is also important to clean your beta fish bowl. Every week you should remove a quarter of the water in the tank and replace it with fresh bottled drinking water.
